AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

In section 3 line 8 after the word "thereof" insert the
following: "And pay such dividends on the capital
stock of the said bank to the stockholders of the said
bank as will not impair the capital stock of said
Chestertown bank of Maryland, and pay such interest
on deposits as may be provided by the rules and regu-
lations of Saidbank."

the charter of the Fidelity Savings Bank of Frostburg,
Allegany county, so as to authorize said bank to en-
gage in and conduct a general banking business."

Mr. Becker, from the Committee on Temperance, re-
ported unfavorably,

House bill, File No. 510, entitled "An Act to enable
qualified voters of the town of Brunswick, Frederick
county, Maryland, to determine by ballot whether
spirituous or fermented liquors, lager beer or alcoholic
bitters shall be sold in said town or within two miles
of the corporate limits thereof, except in the village
of Knoxville, and to regulate the terms and conditions
on which the sale thereof may be made in case the
majority of the voters of said town shall determine
said question in the affirmative."
