Mr. Kirbin'presented petition from J. T. Price & Co.,
and 20 other citizens of Worcester county, asking for
the passage of a bill checking the use of trading
stamps.
Which was read and referred to the Judiciary Com-
mittee.
ORDERS.
On motion of Mr. Wells, it was
Ordered, That Paul Winchester, F. D. Maderia, Al,
Goodman, Wm. Abbott, G. W. Mumford, August
Gisen, F. O. White, Jr., and F. Trappe, reporters for
the House of Delegates, each be paid the sum of one
hundred and fifty dollars ($150) for their services to
the House of Delegates during the present session of
the General Assembly of Maryland.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Claims.
On motion of Mr. Howard, ir was
Ordered, That Mr. Harvey be excused from to-day's
session on account of sickness.
On motion of Mr. Goslin, it was
Ordered, That at the request of the Hon. Murray
Vandiver, Treasurer, and as required by Section 23 of
Article 95 of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland, the Finance Committee of the Senate and
the Ways and Means Committee of the House, ex-
amine and count, on Monday, March 28th, 1904 at
two o'clock, at the office of the Safe Deposit & Trust
Company at 13 South street Baltimore, the securities
of the State of Maryland, purchased by the Treasurer
for the use of the Sinking Fund, and to burn all can-
celled bonds and certificates of stock belonging to the
overdue debt of the State which was purchased for the
nse of the Sinking Fund, and the said Committee
shall make a detailed report of their findings and that
the same shall be spread upon the Journals of the
of the Senate and House, in order that such record
may be preserved.
