The Journal of Thursday March 17th, 1904, was
read and approved.

PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND OTHER PAPERS.

Mr. Dodson presented petition of Michael Jenkins
and 62 others, composing business firms of Baltimore
urging the passage of a bill for relief of the Maryland
Institute.

Which was read and referred to the Baltimore city
delegation.
Also,

Petition from J. E. Duhadaway of Talbot county
and J. M. Clayton of Dorchester county, objecting to
the provisions of the Haman Oyster bill.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Chesapeake Bay and Tributaries.

Mr. Evans presented petitions of John Marberg and
a number of other representatives, urging the passage
of a bill for the restoration of the Maryland Institute.

Which was read and referred to the Baltimore city
delegation.
Also,

Petition from W. W. Roberts & Co. and 31 other
representative business men of Baltimore city, who
are opposed to the Haman Oyster bill.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Chesapeake Bay and Tributaries.

Mr. Collins presented petition of Mr. A. H. Valliant
and 300 other citizens of Talbot county, opposing the
provisions of the Haman Oyster bill.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Chesapeake Bay and Tributaries.

ORDERS.

On motion of Mr. Atkinson, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Gibbs be excused from to-day's
session on account of important business.
