House bill, File No. 412, entitled "An Act to repeal
section 2 of chapter 736 of the Acts passed at the
January session of Maryland, 1900, entitled 'An Act
to authorize and empower any person or firm who may
have procured a license to sell spirituous or fermented
liquors in Carroll county under chapter 6 of the Act
passed at the January session of the General Assembly,
1894, to transfer and assign such license to be used at
the same place to any person who is eligible to pro-

cure a license under chapter 6 of the Act of 1894, and
to re-enact the same with amendments."

Which unfavorable report was adopted.
Also unfavorably,

House bill, File No. 331, entitled "An Act to pro-
hibit the sale of spirituous or fermented liquors or
lager beer, or intoxicating drinks of any kind, at any
place in Frederick county, within two miles of the
public school house in Urbana district of said county,
known as 'Sugar Loaf or Mountain School House,'
otherwise known as 'School No. 6,' in Election Dis-
trict No. 7 of said county, and also to prohibit the
giving away or distributing of such spirituous or fer-
mented liquors or lager beer, or intoxicating drinks
of any kind, at or near the place of business of any
person within the limits aforesaid."

Which on motion

Was recommitted to the Committee on Temperance.
Also favorably,

House bill, File No. 497, entitled "An Act to pre-
vent persons and corporations having license to sell
spirituous and fermented liquors and lager beer in
Frederick county, allowing female persons to frequent
and drink in their bar rooms and other places."

Which was read the second time and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.
