Frank T. Orwald of Garrett county; by striking out
Joseph H. Gale of Baltimore city, and inserting in
lien thereof, the name of Robert P. Harrison; by
striking out the name of I. T. J Somerset
county, and inserting in lien thereof, Edward S. Phil-
lips of Dorchester county.

Which was rejected.

The question then recurring upon the original order.

It was adopted.

The officers then appeared before the Speaker and
took the oath of office.

On motion of Mr. Fuss, it was

Ordered, That the thanks of the House of Delegates
be tendered the Hon. Edward E. Goslin for the able
and efficient manner in which he has discharged the
duties of temporary Speaker.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Wells offered the following:

Ordered, That the Committee on Claims be. and is
hereby, directed to pay Mr. Carl Hardy the sum of
fifty dollars ($50) for services in compiling and tabu-
lating election returns for members of the General
Assembly and Governor, January 6, 1904.

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Claims (hereafter to be appointed).

To services in compiling and tabulating election
returns for members of General Assembly and
Governor ................................................. $50

On motion of Mr. Linthicum, it was
Ordered, That the rules adopted by the House of
Delegates at the session in 1902, be hereby adopted as
the rules governing the present House of Delegates,
including the following :
