              The Court being Calld. The sheriffs Comission & Writt of Asistance was read     Provincial Rules

              The Rules of the Provincial Court was this day read. as also a Proclamacon } this day read

              ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Maryland Ss / Whereas according to an Act of Assembly of this Province intitled an Act for the Registring

              of Births, Marriages & Burials. It is Enacted that within two months after ye Birth of any

              Child person Marryed or ye death of any person within this Province That the Birth of the Child

              born by the Parents & the time of the marriage of any Person Marryed by the party married & ye

              time of ye death of any person dying by ye Extr. or Admr be entered upon Record by ye Clerk of ye County

              Court &ca. And whereas the inhabitants of the Several & respective Counties are very Slack & negligent

              in entering the Same according to the tenour of ye sd act These are to Will & require ye Inhabitants of the

              Several & respective Counties to bring in a just & true accot. of the Children born ye persons marryed and

              the persons deceased, and to enter the Same upon Record with the Clerk of ye County Court in which they

              doe inhabit & dwell & for the future to enter the Same within the time limited as by ye sd act is required

              whereof they are not to fail under the penalty in ye sd Act mentioned, & for default to be prosecuted

              accordingly whereof every person by their Maties Special Comand are to take Notice. Given under my

              hand this eleaventh day of May anno Domini 1694

Capt. Henry: Smiths two Servant Boyes this day was by mr Ephraim: Wilson brought before ye Justices in

Court Sitting to have their ages adjudged. — The first was Thomas: Benson, which after a full view

made was judged to be betwixt Sixteen & Seventeen years of age comeing in with out Indenture

The Second By. (viz) John: Browne. which after full view thereon made, was by ye Justices judged

to be fourteen years of age: he Comeing in the Country without Indenture.



Mary Cullen brought her Sonn this day before the Justices in Court Sitting, desireing he may be bound over

apprentice to Mary: Curtiss his Name is Edward. Culen aged Six years next September And the Justices

Do likewise put ye sd Edward Apprentice to ye sd Mary: Curtis till 21 years of Age. Mary Curtiss obliges
