              Likewise the abovesd John: King made appearant pr Oath that there was due by Bills as appeared in Court

              from under the hand & Seal of Nicholas Carpenter Due to Said King the Sum of two Thousand two hundred

              pounds of tobacco.. Ordr granted for the Same with Cost &ca.


              

   Ordered by the foresd Justices in Court Sitting that mr ffrancis Jenckins & Capt Wm: Whittington purchase A

   Tract of Land not exceeding two hundred Acres near Deviding Creek. And that erect or build a Courthouse thereon

(viz) fifty foot long & twenty feet Wide Overjetted, the Gable end of Brick, wth a Chimney below and above to be

underpind with bricks &ca. to be Soley left to the Care and managemt of sd Jenckins & Whittington, which

Charge to be defrayed pr County aforesd. Ordr Sent. Memorand mr Roger Woolford sale prindent when E-

        Contra:      }   of trespas on the Case &ca. — And whereupon the Said Jacob by Peter Dent his

Wm: Dickinson:Dft    Attorney Complaineth that whereas the Said William the 22th. day of May in the year of

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~          our Lord 1693, at Monocan within the Jurisdiction of this Court was indebted to ye Said

Jacob in the Sum of two hundred thirty five Pounds of Porke being for Sundry goods & Merchandizes by the said

Jacob, to the Said William before that time Sold & delivered, as by a perticuler accot thereof here in Court produced

may appear & the Said Wm to the Said Jacob in manner aforesd being indebted, did assume upon him Self and to

the Jacob faithfully promise that he the Said Wm. the Same to the Said Jacob, when requested would well & truly

Content and pay. Nevertheless the Said Wm. his promise & assumption aforesd not regarding but minding and
