Know all men by these presents That I Thomas. Quillaine & John. Braten of Somerset County Planters doe hereby Joyntly & Severally acknowledge our Selves, our Heirs Extors,Admrs & Assigns to Stand justly indebted to their Maties King William & Queen Mary in the full & just Sum of tenn pounds Sterling to be paid upon demand upon Condicon as followeth. The Condition of the above Obligation is Such that if ye above bound Thomas:Quillaine doth prsonally appear before their Maties Justices at ye next County Court & there to abide to answer ye Complaint of Margarett= Gallahoe, Then ye above Obligation to be void or else to Stand in full power & vertue in Law Wittness our hands and Seals this 21th. Know all men by these presents that I Margarett Gallahoe doe acknowledge my Self to Stand justly indebted to their Maties King William:& Queen Mary in the Sume of tenn pounds Sterling to be paid upon demand to prosecute Tho Quillaine at the next County Court, before their Maties Justices of the Peace for tempting her & would have forced her to have had the use of her body in a Swamp near Daniel:Dunnahoes house ye 20th .June last, for which she hath declared upon her Oath and in thus prosecuting the above Obligation to be void & of no effect, or else to Stand in full force power & vertue in Law. After the foresd Warrant & Bonds were read, The Court asked the sd Tho: Quillaine if he were guilty or not guilty, he replyed not guilty. Whereupon Was Sumoned 15 Evidences of which nine were examined, w[here] it did appear to ye worll. Court that the sd Margarett Gallaway had falsly accused the sd Quillaine. And therefore the Said Quillaine was dismist there from, paying his fees. ___ And the said Margerett:Gallaway for ye foresd abuse was by the Court Ordered One & twenty lashes on her bare back well laid on, for for swearing her Self &ca.which was pr the Sheriff executed. Ordered Likewise the sd Margarett give Security for her good behaviour & fees & that She leave Daniel Donahers Plantation after She has finished her Cropp now in hand Ordered into the Sheriffs Custody till Security given [as] aforesaid. - - - - Whereupon Came the said Margaret:Gallaway with her two Securities (viz) Jonathan Towers & Edward
