Ralph: Doe. Deft          unto Edward Moore Sen^r of Accamack County in the Collony of Virginia of

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~           a plea of Trespass on the Case &ca. ____ And whereupon the sd Edward

                                           by Peter Dent his Attorney Complains that whereas the Said Ralph the 13^th-

day of December in the year of o^r Lord 1690. within the Jurisdiction of this Court was indebted to the Said

Edward five Yews & one Ram being for one Mare Sold & delivered by the said Edward to the sd Ralph =

before that time Sold & delivered, And the Said Ralph to the Said Edward in Manner aforesd being indebted

did assume upon himself & to the Said Edward then & there faithfully promise that he the Said Ralph

the Said five Yews & one Ram when he Should be thereunto requested would well & truly Content

& pay. Nevertheless the Said Ralph his promise & Assumption aforesd not regarding but minding &

fraudulently intending him the Said Edward in this behalf Craftily & Subtily to deceive & defraud

the Said five Yews & one Ram or any part thereof to the said Edward hath not paid although the Said

Ralph to doe the Same, hath been requested but hath hitherto refused, and doth Still refuse to y^e damage

of the Said Edward of 2000 pounds of tobacco & thereof he brings this Sute &ca.
