                   The Constables being Called each Constable appeared, and the Justices then made Choice of those now

                   Constable following for this ensueing year. — viz

                   Henry ffreaks for Wiccocomocoe hundred Thomas Beauchamp for Animessex hundred

Constables William: Bound for Nanticoke hundred    James Henderson for Pocomoke hundred

Chosen } William: Waller for Mony hundred } William Stevenson for Mattapony hundred

                    Samuel: Johnson for Monokin hundred.    John: Johnson for BogatooNorten hundred

                   


              The Sheriff of the County Returns this following List or panel of the Grand Jury viz Randall Revel. John

              Kirke: Edward: Stockdell. Philip Adams. Miles: Gray. George: Lane: Benjamin:Esham William Robinson

              Edward ffowler Edward: Wheeler. Samuel: ffluellin. Thomas. Oxford. Alexandr. White ffrancis. Martin Robt

              Polke. Robert: Caldwell. Thomas Larramore (17), who were all duely Sumoned returned & Sworn upon ye holy

              Evangelists having reced their Charge are Sent forth. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -


              

Their Maties                 The said Patrick appearing and Eliz. Hines as in fo: 31. The Said Elizabeth then made

            Contra: }      Oath that he the sd Patrick was the ffather of her late Basterd Child Whereupon the Court

Patrick: Mcdonnell      Ordered sd Patrick to give Security to keep this County harmless from all Charge and trouble

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~         that may ensue thereby & for his good behaviour & fees. - - - - - ____ - - - - - ____

              Whereupon Came the sd Patrick & his two Securities (viz) Richard:Wharton & Alexander White and the sd

              Patrick did acknowledge him Self to owe & be indebted unto or Sovereign Lord the King & Queen the Sum of tenn

              pounds Sterling money & his two Securities in the Sum of five pounds a piece like money all due to be levied

              on their goods & Chattels Lands & Tenements for their Maties uses &ca.

The Condicon of which Recognizance is Such that if the above bound Patrick Mcdonnell shall well & trully

Save keep & defend this County from being any wayes indempnified from all Charges & trouble that might ensue

by reason of One Basterd Child of Eliz: Hines begott (as said) by sd Patrick, as also to be of the good behaviour and

abearance to all their Maties liege people of this Province dureing this Courts pleasure, as also pay Cost of Sute then

the above Recognizance to be void & of none effect otherwayes to be & remaine in full power force & vertue – –

 


Aaron: Bishopp Petion read for excuse till next Court. appa pr Pirrie not granted

mr Robt Pirrie and Martin Trontam pr Recognizance was bound in tenn pounds pr man. for Aaron Bishoppes appear-

at or next County Court to be held ye 2d tuesday in Janry next to answer to Maties &ca. acknowledged – – –

 


              

The humble Petion of John: Mcknitt humbly Sheweth. To the Worll. ye Justices of the Peace of Somerset County in Court

Sitting. That one Amos: Parsons hath a Dogg that is accustomed to Seaze and bite Cattel whereby Several of his Neighbors

Cattel is bitten and laimed, and prticularly yr Petioner hath three Cowes much damnified by ye biteing of the Same Dogg

and the Said Amos although often required to take up his Dogg and keep him from doing more damage obstinantly

refueseth. May it therefore please ye Worpps. to take Some Courses, that yr Petioner & others maybe no more damnified by

the Said Dogg, and yr Petioner as in duty bound Shall ever pray &ca. –

         The abovesd Petion being read, it was by ye Worll. Court Ordered that Amos Parsons make his prsonal appearance

         before the Court tomorrow ye 15th of this Instant November ano., 1693

         Ordered likewise that Sumons issue for Hen: Miles & James Willis that they appr. tomorrow as Evids for Jno. Mcknitt

         agt sd Amos Parsons. - - - - - -
