~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~                       And whereupon the Said Robert by Peter Dent his Attorney Complaineth

                                                         that whereas the Said James: the 12^th. day of Jan^ry in the year of our Lord

                                                         1692 at Pocomoke within the Jurisdiction of this Court was indebted to the

Said Robert the Sum of thirteen hundred twenty two pounds of Porke as by a perticular acco^t thereof here in Court

produced may appear, & the Said James to the said Rob^t. in manner aforesd being indebted did assume upon him self and

to the said Robert then & there faithfully promise that he the Said James the said Sum of 1322 Pounds of porke

to the Said Robert when he should be thereunto requested, would well & truly Content & pay. Nevertheless the said James

his promise & assumption aforesd not regarding but minding & fraudulently intending the Said Robert in this behalf

Craftily & Subtily to deceive and defraud of Said Sum of 1322 Pounds of Porke to the said Robert hath not paid

although the said James to doe the Same hath been requested, but hath hitherto refused & doth Still refuse to the damage

of the Said Robert of 2000 pounds of Porke, & thereof he brings his Sute &ca.
