        Complaineth that whereas the Said John: y^e 29^th day
Of decemb^r in y^e year of o^r Lord 1688 at Pocomoke within the Jurisdiction of this Court was indebted
to the Said Samuel in the Sum of nine hundred fourty & five pounds of Porke being for Sundry goods & Merchandizes
             by y^e sd Samuel to the said John.before that time Sold & delivered as p^r a p^rticular acco^t.thereof here in Court
ready to be produced may appear & the Said John to the Said Samuel in manner aforsd being indebted did assume
upon himself & to the said Samuel faithfully promise that he the said John the said Sum of 945 Pounds
of Porke to the Said Samuel when he should be thereunto requested, would well & truly Content & pay  Never
theless the said John his promise & assumption not regarding but minding & fraudulently intending him
the Said Samuel in this behalf craftily & Subtilly to deceive & defraud the sd Sum to the sd Samuel hath not
paid, though often demanded, but hath hitherto refused & doth still refuse to the damage of y^e sd Samuel of 1600=
Pounds of Porke and thereof he brings his Suite  &ca.
