( 5 ) August 8th Ano. 1692 To the worll Comrs of Somerset County Court in Court Sitting, ye humble petion of Jno.Walker = humbly Sheweth, that your worps petioner in Janry Court last past became bound for the appearance of Jane ffarlow, to answer to what Should be Objected agt her, on their Maties behalf your petioner is not willing to Stand bound any longer, therefore humbly prayes your worps that he may be discharged from remaining Security for her any longer, and yr petioner in duty bound shall ever pray. &ca. C Petion granted. sd Walker discharged. H.Hudson bound in sd Walkers room . - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Order Sheriffe take Jane:ffarlow into Custody till Security given for her fine & fees vide Hudson supra To the worll the Comrs of Somerset County Court, ye humble petion of Martin Curtiss C Humbly Sheweth. That mr Edmund Beauchamp deceased was at the time of his death indebted to your C four hundred & eighty pounds of tobacco of which he hath received no part, your petioner therefore humbly prayes your worps Order that he may receive the Same of the Execcutor. Capt Genll. & Governr in Chief over their Maties King William & Queen Maryes their Provinces of Maryland. The most humble petion of William: Morriss, most humbly Sheweth. That yr most humble petioner Resident in the County of Somerset Since the last chaing of Government was by mr. ffrancis:Jenckins accused for Some words, as he alleadged. your most humble petioner Should Say, tending to Blasphemy, and was So Sevear upon your petioner that he was forced to leave his habitation, Slaves, Stock and all other things fitting & necessary for yr petioner and his wives & Childrens Subsistance, and Since his absence, his Negro Slaves his Stock and goods are thereon the means of the aforementioned ffrancis Jenckins taken away, & being at great distance down in the Collony of Virginia from his habitation, & hearing of your most Excellencies Saif arivall in this province, and well knowing that he the said Morriss himself was wholy innocent of what is alleadged agt him; & not doubting but that your Excellency of your just goodness will be pleased to grant your humble petioner that favour that he may returne to the said County to look after his wife and Children and what belongs to your humble petioner in Somerset County, he giving good Security to the Court or any other person or persons in authority in the said County that your Excellency shall Order or think fitt, to answer before the Court of the said County or before |
