( 39 ) 7ber 15th: 1692 Downe on her knees & said She wisht she might never enter into the Kingdom of heaven if it was not true wittness Thomas: Stockwell _______ mr Sangster pray desire ye Gentlem of the Court to examine Andrew Chappin what he heard ffrances Williams Say. _______ One night when she came from the Weavers, she & her husband fell out & She swore that She was forced to lock up the penknife in her Chest for feare leste she should be murthered ___ betwixt that whore & Rogue for she said she found it under her bed twice __________ All which being Considered This Court Orders The Said Thomas Williams to give good Security for his good behaviour dureing Courts pleasure _____ And upon the 16th day of 7ber Anno Domini 1692 Came the foresd Thomas Williams and brought into Court his two Securities (viz) Robert Catline & John: Taylor. And the said Thomas did by Recognizance acknowledge & Confess himself to owe and be indebted unto or Soveraign Lord & Lady King Wm. & Queen Mary their Heirs & Successors the just Sum of fifty pounds Sterling money of England, & the said Catline & Taylor in the Sum of twenty five pounds like money asd due to be leavied on their goods & Chattels lands & Tennements for their Maties uses &ca. _______ The Condicon of the abovesd Recognizance is Such that if the above bound Thomas: Williams be of the good behavior & abearance to all their Maties Liedge people of this Province dureing this Courts pleasure then the Recognizance to be void & of none effect,other wayes to be & remaine in full force & vertue . __________ - - - - - - _________ - - - - - - Their Maties Somerset Ss / Contra } Peter Whaples of this County Cordwinder was attached to Peter. Whaples answer to what Should be Objected Objected agt him at ye ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ County Court held the Second Tuesday in Janry 1691 in their Maties Behalf as plts & the Said Peter Whaples as Dft. ______ And whereupon theire Maties Attorney Comes & Sayes , that whereas Wm Morris of Dividing Creek upon the 16th day of May last past, did break his prison, And from mr Stephen Luffe high Sheriffe of this County did make an Escape the Said Morris being thereunto Comitted for Severall Capitall Crimes and horrible Blasphemies, Upon which Escape the said Stephen Luffe, according to Law the Said Morris did |
