Maryland Ss. B    Lionel: Copley Esq^r. Comissary. Gen^ll. & Chief Judge for Probat of
Wills & granting letters of Adm^rn to &ca. within this Province . To ffrancis Jenckins
& Samuel: Hopkins Gentl. of Somerset County Greeting . ____   - -  -  -   ____   -  -  -
Out of the Special Trust & Confidence I have in y^r fidelity Candou^r & integrity as well
as Judgm^t. & discretion. in matters Testamentory, relating to the due Adm^rn and
disposition of the Estates of p^rsons decd, according to Law; & your ready inclinations =
to doe Equal right & justice to all p^rsons therein any wayes interested & Concerned. I
have Ordained Constituted Deputed & appointed, as by these presents, I doe Ordaine
Constitute, Depute & appoint, you the Said ffrancis: Jenckins & Samuel: Hopkins or
either of you, to be Deputy Comissary or Agent under me in the Said County, for the p^roving
of the wills of Such persons deceasing in the said County, as shall for that end & purpose
be brought to you, hereby authorizeing & empowering y^w to take the Probat thereof
by the Oaths of Such persons as shall be wittnesses thereunto, as also to grant letters =
Testamentary thereupon with Coppy of Such Will annexed, also letters of Adm^rn of
the Estates of persons deceasing intestate, to Such person or p^rsons, to whom the same Shall
or may of right belong according to Law, Also to Swear & take the Oathes of Ext^rs or
Adm^rs together with the Appraisers appointed, & to grant warrants to Such Appraisers
& to all other things to Act & doe as to the place & Office of Deputy Comissary &ca belongs
takeing & reserving to y^r Self Such ffees profitts & p^rquesits for the Same as by Act of
Assembly of this Province is given, granted & allowed to Such Officer or Officers in Each
respective County of this Province, now o^r hereafter to be there unto authorized & appointed
