And whereupon the Said Co^ll. David Browne by his Attorney Jn^o:Strawbridge comes
& Sayes that whereas the Said John: Vigerous in the year of our Lord God 1692 at Monokin
within the Jurisdiction of this Court became indebted unto the plt in the Sum or quantity of
five thousand four hundred eighty & Six pounds of good Sound Mertable tobacco & Caske
to Contain the Same as p^r acco^t produced here in Court more plainly doth & may appear. Nevertheless
the Said John his Promise & assumption aforesd not regarding, but minding & fraudulently
intending the Said David Browne of the sd 5486^lb. Of tob to deceive & defraud & doth refuse
& Still doth to pay the Same, although often thereunto required & demanded, wherefore y^e plt
Saith that is damnified & hath damage to the value of 10972 of Mertable tob & Caske & there
