Contra           }                                    Thomas  Gillett  of this County was attached to answer
Thomas: Gillett  Dft                          unto ffrancis: Gunby in a plea that he render unto him 37^s:
~   ~   ~   ~   ~   ~   ~   ~           which to him he Oweth and unjustly deteineth. _____
And whereupon the plt by his Attorney Edward Jones Comes and Sayes that y^e Said
Defend^t upon the tenth day of October in the year of Lord 1690 then became indebted unto
the plt in the just Sum of thirty Seaven Shillings Sterling money as doth more plainly appear
by a Certaine writing under the hand and Seal of the deft and here in Court produced, but the
defend^t not minding his promise and assumption, but fraudulently intending the plt to deceive
in the Sum of 37 Shillings, but hath denyed to pay and Still doth deny though often thereB
unto required whereupon the plt Saith he is damnified & hath losse to the value of three pound
of the like money and thereupon brings his Suite.    p^r Que^r. Edward: Jones _________
