The Condicon of the above Obligation is Such that the Said Josias Seaward his Heirs Extrs
Admrs Shall well and truly pay or Cause to be paid unto the abovesd Henry Lynch his Heirs B
Executors Admrs or Assigns the full Sum four thousand four hundred Seaventy one pounds
of good Sound Merchantable tobacco in Caske to be paid Convenient in Pocomoke River C
according to Act of Assembly at or upon ye tenth day of october next ensueing hereof, then this
Obligacon to be void & of none effect Otherwise to be in full power & virtue in Law _______
 
      The dft by J:Sangster his Attorney defends the force & injury &ca & Sayes
      that the Bond is fully Satisfied & putts himself upon the Court ______
And the plt by Peter Dent his Attorney Says he hath not Satisfyed ye Same as is
alleadged for that the dfts debt is only an accot. agt which the plt hath Several things to
Object, which accot in Law Cannot be any barr agt a Bond.    Dent ____________

Know all men by these presents that I Josias Seaward of Somerset County Planter in
the Province of Maryland, doe Confes my Self to be Owing & Stand justly indebted unto
Henry Lynch of the aforesd County Mercht. the just & full Sum of eight thousand nine
hundred fourty two pounds of good Sound Mertable tobacco in Caske to be pd Convenient
in Pocomoke River according to Act of Assembly, the which payment well & truly to
be paid I bind me my Heirs Execcutors Admrs firmly by these presents to the said
Henry Lynch his Heirs Execcutors Admrs or Assigns as witness my hand & Seal this 5th
day of June 1686 ______   - - - - - - -   ________   - - - - - - -   _______   - - - - - -
