( 12 ) August the 9th. 1692 the said Store whilst the Said Jenckins was there: heard the Said Jenckins blaming the sd Dorman for not delivering him his goods Sooner that he was to have of him for fifty hogsheads of tobacco he had Sold Dorman: that he might have his proportionable part of the Cargos according to bargaine before he had disposed of any of them or that the Mate was gone down with the Sloop; Dorman Replyed why he would Still Secure the goods and warrant them Saife for the said Jenckins to his Landing according to their agreemt. That the Satterday following the Deponant did their see Dorman deliver the Said Jenckins his Invoyce of his goods to peruse who called for the perticulars of the goods as they were his inserted, begining with and booked d---- , and charged to the sd Jenckins his accot. as the goods were delivered according to the Invoyce: The hoes & axes being tied in bundles with Severall Stirrup leathers of Sadles. which the said Jenckins was to have his part of. the said goods many of them being marked, with the Said Jenckins his marke as they were delivered him, and they as well as the rest of the goods delivered were put by Dormans own hands in a great heap togeather, they often instanceing taking a proportionable part, and So proceeded to linings, Stuff, Silks, Searges, hatts & haberdasherie wares &ca. The Said Jenckins refuseing nothing as they went through the Invoyce neither dispraising the goods nor finding fault with the prices; but when they came to call for whoods; which Dorman Said were all gone, Dorman broke out into a passion and Said the said Jenckins picked & Culled his goods: and Swore he should not have them: and put the Said Jenckins to prove his bargaine. The Said Jenckins then telling over the Said goods which were delivered (out of Dormans book) to Sixty five Severall articles before Severall Standers by: telling Dorman that he did expect them C togeather with the rest of the goods that was behind as farr forth as his tobacco came to: that he had Sold him and had given him Orders for: and bid Dorman See that he Secured them according to his bargaine and further Saith not.
