( 94 ) Know all men by these prsents that we Stephen Luffe Thomas Jones and John: King of the County of Somerset and Province of Maryland Gentm. are holden and firmly bound unto our Sovereign Lord pounds of merchantable tobacco to be paid to their Maties or to their Certain Attorney or to their Heirs, Execcutors Admrs or Assigns, to the which payment well and truly to be made we bind us and each of us by him self and for the whole firmly by these presents Sealed with our Seals and dated the 11th: day of June in the 3d. yeare of their Maties reign and in the year of our Lord god, One thousand Six hundred ninety One ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The Condition of the abovesd Obligation is Such that if the above bound Stephen: Luffe do well and truly Serve their Maties their Heirs and Successors in the Office of high Sheriffe of Somerset County and Shall render unto their said Maties and other their Maties Officers a true faithfull and perfect account of all and Singular their Maties Rents and other fees and dues due and owing by the sd County in mr Wm: Breretons time late high Sheriffe of the said County of Somerset, and shall faithfully collect the same, and his accot to their sd Maties Heirs and Successors for his Rents and fines forfeitures or other dues belonging to their Maties and also his accompt of all fees dues or Sums of tobacco for Leavies or fees due to any of their Maties Officers within this Province aforesd and shall pass & give an accot. of at ye Citty of St. Maries in the sd Province in his own propper person by the first tuesday in April next ensueing the date hereof, And in all other things as Sheriff of the sd County shall behave himself well and honestly as well towards their sd Maties as to all other persons whatsoever, then this Obligation to be void Otherwayes to be and remain in full power force and vertue Stephen: Luffe . I John: Galbraith of Somerset County and Province of Maryland Merchant, being sick in body but of good and perfect memory thanks be to Allmighty God, and calling to remembrance the uncertain Estate of this transitory life, and that all flesh must yield unto death when it shall please God to call, doe make,Constitute, ordaine and declare this my last will & Testament in manner and forme following, revoaking and adnulling by these prSents all and every Testament & Testaments, Will & Wills heretofore by me made & declared, either by word or writing and that to be taken only for my last will & Testament and none other, and first being penitent and Sory from my very hart for my Sins past, most humbly desireing forgiveness of the same. I give & remitt my Soul to Allmighty God my Saviour & Redeemer, in whom and by the merits of Jesus Christ, I trust and believe assuredly to be saved, and have full remission & forgivenesse of all my Sins, & that my Soul with my body at ye day of resurrection shall rise again with joy and through the merits of Christs death and passion posess & inheritt the kingdome of heaven prepared for his Elect & Chosen and my body to the earth to be buried decently at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named, And now for Setling
