Know all men by these presents That I William Banister of ye County of SomrSett & province of Maryland
Bricklayer, Doe acknowledge & Confess my Selfe to owe & am Indebted unto Randall Revell of ye Sd County
and Province aforesd Gent. ye Sume of Two hundred pounds Sterling money of England which I promise
to pay to ye abovesd Revell or to his Certaine Attorney or to his heirs Extrs Admrs or assignes, & for ye true
Performance of ye Same to be well & truly paid I bind me my heirs, Extrs & Admrs firmly by these presents
in testemoney whereof I have hereunto Sett my hand & Seals this 18th Day of August Ano Dom one thousand
Six hundred ninety & two - - - - - - - ____ - - - - - - _____ - - - - - - - ____ - - - - - - -
The Condition of ye abovesd Obligation is Such yt if ye above bounden Wm Banister he his heirs Execcutors or Admrs or
any of them doe well & truly prforme & finish ye building of one Brickhouse already begun upon ye Sd Revells
Plantation (viz) So farr forth as Bricklayers or Plaisterers work Doth Extend as likewise to give ye Sd Randall
Revell or some of his Brothers in law ye first refusall of a tract of land Called Williams Purchase bought of ye
Sd Revell by ye Sd Banister; provided ye Sd Revell or any of his Brothers in law aforesd will give as much for
ye Sd land as any other prson or prsons (if to be Sold by ye Sd Banister. That then this obligation to be void & of
none efect otherwayes to be & remaine in full power force & vertue - - - - - - ___ - - - - - - ___ - - - - -
