21 In the Name of God Amen I Samuell Cooper this first day of october in the year of our Lord God 1681then being in perfect health of body and mind praysed be God doe make this my last will & Testamt: in manner & forme following first I bequeath my Soul to God who gave it me my body to the earth from whence it was taken & the rest of what worldly estate the Lord in mercy hath Lent me I doe give & bequeath as followeth I doe give my wife Jane Cooper and to her heires and assignes for Ever all my whole estate both prsonal & real (only desiring her to remember what I have desired of her) & doe make my abovesaid wife Sole executrix of this my last will & Testament In witnes whereof I have Sett to my hand & fixed my Seale the day & year above written ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Signed Sealed & delivered in the presence of his Samuell Cooper Sealed Edm: Howard Margarett Howard Thomas Parker marke And on the back Side of y Said will was thus written This day to witt the 26th: of July 1688 mr. Edm. Howard & Margarett Howard made oath before me that they Sawe the within will Signed & Sealed this they have Sworne before mee William Coulbourn Vera Copia pr John Llewellin Maryland Sommersett County Ss. William and Mary by the grace of God over England Scotland ffrance & Ireland King & Queen defenders of the faith &c To ffrancis Jenkins of Somersett County greeting Whereas Samuell Cooper of the Said County deceased Wee doe Therefore give & grant unto you the Said ffrancis Jenckins full power and Authoritie to administer all & Singular the goods Chattles and Creditors of the sd: deceased and to demand Collect and Leavy and in Legall manner require and receive all and all manner of Debt & debts due & oweing to the Said deceased and well & faithfully to dispose of the Same and out of the goods Chattells and Creditts of the Said deceased which have may or Shall Come to yor: hands or possession well & truly to pay the debts due by the Said deceased So ffar forth as the Same will extend and the Law will Charge you according to the true vallue of the Sum thereof you having first taken yor: oath well & truly to administer the Same And to make or Cause to be made A True & perfect Inventory of all and Singular the goods and Chattells and Creditts of the Said deceased which have may or Shall Come to yor: hands possession or knowledge (appraised in money) and a true & Just account of and upon yor:administracon therein and to exhibitt both into our County Court where wills are proved according to power given by a Certain ordinance of Assembly Lawfully Authorized Touching which Inventory you are presently assigned to performe or at furthest before the Second Tuesday in August now next ensueing and an accompt within Twelve month from the date of these presents And Lastly wee doe hereby Constitute ordaine and appointe you the Said ffrancis Jenkins administrator of all & Singular the goods Chattels & Creditts of the Said deceased vizt for and in Consideracon of two valuable Sums of Tobacco owing by the Said deceased no by Two bills and upon record doth more fully appeare Togeather likewise Supplicated by Jane Cooper relict of the Sd: Samuell Cooper deceased who humbly prayed that the Said Letters of administracon might as aboveSd: be granted y Sd: Jenkins the Sd: relict & executrix in open Cort. revoking all her Title interest or adm:erne to of or in any part or parcell of the forementioned deceased Estate Signed pr ordr.of Cort 10th: June 1690 pr Jno. West dept: Clrke Cur Com SomrSet Maryland Somersett County Ss wee doe hereby impower you mr:John Emmett and mr:Samuell Collins to appraise the goods & Chattels of Samuell Cooper deceased you having first taken yor: oathes before mr: Edmund Howard one of their Maties: Justices of the Peace for this County and you are to Certifie y true vallue of the Sd. goods & Chattels (appraised in Money) under yor: hands & Seales into or: County Cort: held y Second Tuesday in August next after the date hereof this pr order of Cort: y 10th: day of June in the Second year of their Maties: Reign William & Mary over England &c. and in y year of or: Lord God one Thousand Six hundred & Ninety / Jno: West depty: Clerke Cur Com SomrSet.
