June the the 2th: 1690 The Superscription of the letter was To mr Tho. Jones at his house this prsent
The answer to the said Letter is as followeth
I did not Sell thy horse without Order, and if the wants better Satisffaction, goe to St. Maries Record
or take thy Course . _____ Tho: Jones.

Maryland Sc. This Bill bindeth me ffrancis Gunby of the County of Somerset Joyner my Heirs Execcutrs and Admrs to pay
or cause to be paid unto Robert Ridgley his heirs Execcutors Admrs or Assigns in the sd County on demand the Sum of eight
hundred pounds of tobacco in Caske. In wittness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal the Seaventh day of
March. 1676. The marke of
Sealed and delivered in presence of ffrancis E Gunby Sealed
the marke of
Thomas: Bancroft upon the Backside of the abovesd Bill was written as followeth
the marke of mr. Gunby. Pay the Contents of this Bill to mr Daniel: Clocker.

hundred pounds of Tobacco, which if I receive. I promise to be accountable for to the said Ridgley or else
return the Same againe uncancelled & undefaced as wittness my hand ye day & year afores __

December 5th. 1682. Recd then of Daniel: Clocker the Sum of Eight hundred pounds of Tob.
due by Bill from ffrancis : Gunby to mr Robert. Ridgley by Order of Thomas: Jones, and I doe hereby --
Oblige my Self to Save harmless the sd Clockere for any damage that may happen to him for or by reason
of the payment of the Same to me as wittness my hand the day and year abovesd. Martha: Ridgley

And this Same day (viz) 11th. of March Ano. 1691/2 the aforesd Jury as in fo: 186. appears
in Court, the plt & Deft being Calld, as also the Jurors of sd Jury each man by his name
and being demanded are all unanimously agreed of their verdict. which being read is as
followeth Wee of the Jury find for the plt.also we value the horse a 1200lb: of tobacco

Which forsd verdict was Ordered to be entered. But for Some reasons given to Court. Sossit
Executio. was Ordered till June Court next.
