orchards and Conveniences beginning at a marked white oake Standing near Livin Denwoods to Poplar
branch from thence running halfe way through the Swamp untill it Cometh to y land of my Son John Jones
above named She not doeing or Suffering to be done any waste upon any part of the Same and keeping
all things belonging to the plantacon in good & Sufficient repaire for and Duering the terme of her natural
life if She soe long Continewe a widowe it being in lieu of her thirds of Dower of Land but in case She refuse
the Same or Marry then to have only her thirds of land according to Law ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
5thly I give & bequeath the plantacon Land whereon I now live with all houses Edifices & Conveniences --
thereunto belonging above mentioned after my wife Janes decease marriadge or refusall as above
mentioned wch: Shall first happen unto my loveing Son George Jones & the heires of his body Lawfully ~
begotten for Ever ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
6thly I give and bequeath unto my Loveing Son Roberty Jones Robert Jones and the heires of his body Lawfully
begotten for ever the remainder of my Tract of Land beginning on the west Side of Poplar Branch from thence
running to the Land of George Mitchells and so halfe way through the Swamp intersecting his Brother Johns
Lines as aforesaid but in Case my Son Robert Shoulld dye without issue of his body Lawfully begotten Then it
is my will & desire that my son George Jones doe Injoy the Said Parcell of Land in this my will Mentioned
to him & the heires of his body Lawfully begotten for Ever And if Robert & George Should both Dye without issue
of theire bodies Lawfully begotten That then my Son John Jones Doe Injoy the above Said Land bequeathed to them
& the heirs of his body lawfully begotten for Ever And in case John Jones Shoulld die without issue of his body Lawfully
begotten Then it is my will my son Robert Jones Doe injoy the aforementioned plantacon Land & prmisses to him
& the heires of his body Lawfully begotten for Ever And I doe appoint my sons to be at age when the Shall accomplish
the Age of eighteen years and That they remayne and be with my wife Jane Jones untill they Attaine to the
same age and be assistant to her ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
7thly: I give & bequeath unto my Loving wife Jane Jones my best ffeather bed and ffurniture To her her executors
and assignes for Ever;
8:thly I Give & bequeath unto my Loveing wife Jane Jones Two negros vizt Tom and Deborah with their future Increase
for and dureing theTearme of her natural life And after her decease I give & bequeath the Said Negroes Tom
& Deborah with their Increase to be equally devided betwixt my Two sone George Jones & Robert Jones their
executors & assignes for Ever ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
9:thly I Give and bequeath unto my Daughter Margaret Jones one Negroe Girle to her her he executors and
assignes for ever ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
10:thly I give & bequeath unto my Godson William Hayman one young Cowe with her future increase to him his
executrs: & assignes for Ever To be delivered when this my will Shall be prov'd
11:thly I Give & bequeath the remainder of my personal estate monys plate Jewells Goods Chattells & household Stuffe
to be Equally devided betwixt my Loveing wife Jane Jones my Two Sons George Jones and Robert Jones and my
Daughter Elizabeth Jones Provided alwayes this gift to my wife Jane Jones to Stand if She doth not Meddle or
Concerne herselfe with any of my land more then what before by this my will is ordered & appointed ~ ~ ~ ~
Lastly It is my will and desire that my Loveing wife Jane Jones be whole executrix of this my last will and Testament
and I doe desire my Loving Brother George Mitchell and my Loveing Brother George Betts overseers to be Aiding in
the true execucon in what is here mentioned in this my last will In Witnes whereof I have hereunto Sett
my hand & Seale this thirteenth day of August one Thousand Six hundred eighty & Nine / ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
