by their Maties Justices thereunto authorized the 9th: of March A Do: 1691/2

in Court were - mr. James: Round. mr. Samuel: Hopkins. mr. Thomas Jones } -

Their Maties Somerset Sc. Margerett Kenneday of this County Spinster was attached
Contra. } to answer unto their Maties the Second tuesday in August before the
Margerett: Kenneday worll. their Maties Justices of the Peace, what should be then & there
- - - - - - - - Objected agt her &a - - - - And whereupon their Maties Attorney
Comes and Sayes that the said Margerett not having the fear of God
Before here eyes, but instigated by the Divil, did most wickedly, maliciously, Spitefully & felloniously
at the house of Stephen Page of Mattapony hundred within the Jurisdiction of this Court, Sometime in ye
month of October. 1690: Togeather with the assistance of two of the said Stephen Pages Nigroes -
Thomas: Parramore, and Susanna Parramore, as also the advice Consent, and approbation of the said
Stephen and Bridgett his wife Steal, kill, dresse and Salted upp Six large hoggs belonging to Thomas
Oxford of the said County and hundred, of the value of nine hundred ninety and nine pounds of tobacco
not withstanding that the Sacred and divine Law of Allmighty God, Expressly forbiddeth the Same in
the eight Comandement, Saying thou shall not steal, as also the good and wholesome laws and insititutions
of this Province, especially agt Hoggstealers, and other Criminals, which Said hoggs as Said is
