( 166 ) Then the Charge was given to the Grand Jury, after which sd Jury was Sent forth. - - - - - Which Said Grand Jury being returned to the Barr in Court being Called over by their names are all unanimously agreed, and made Return of their presentments as followeth: vizt. Wee of the Grand Jury Presents Capt. Henry: Smith for Damnifying & spoiling the Kings high way by ye Information of mr. Thomas: Wilson Minister and mr. Andrew: Whittington. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ We present Margeretta Maria Cooper for having a Basterd Child, Informer George Lane. _____ - - - - We present Hannah: Holland for having a Basterd Child. Informer. Thomas: Beauchamp. - - - _____ Lazarus: Maddux foreman . After which foresd Presentments was given in. The Court Ordered process to issue thereon Then was the Presentments made and Sealed up in January, given to Court, The Clerk of the Court was Ordered to break them up and read at his Leisure. which are inserted as followeth. vide 153: Ordr - We of the Grand Jury doe present Thomas: Williams and Mary Berry by Information of Tho: Everndon Evidences agt the said Thomas Williams and Mary Berry are (vizt) Thomas: Stockwell. Wm: Reynalds - Michael: Williams & Patience his wife Charles Johnson Robert Boyer & Rozannah his wife. William Tisdale and Anne his wife. Andrew: a Dutch man formerly Servant to Michael: Williams. for their Maties. We present German: Gillett for transporting Elizabeth: Ketle out of this Province being before that time prsented by the Grand Jury for Basterdy. Informer. James Sangster. ____ - - - - - - _______ - - - - - We present Susannah: Hazzard for basterd bearing. Informer James Sangster. - - - - - _______ We present John: Hopworth for relateing that he had laine with Sarah: the wife of Thomas: Davis & thereby had made her a Whore. Informer. John: Carter. Evidences for their Maties agt Hopworth are John: Roach Senior and Sarah his wife. James: Carter. & Mary ye wife of John: Carter. We present Honora Conner alias Collins for Basterd Bearing. Informer Jno. Gray. & Jno. Macknitt These last prSentments were by every Grand Juror Signed & Sealed Capt. Wm: Coulbourne forman This Court Ordered process to issue forth upon the said presentments ________ - - - - - - - Upon Information to this Court that Richard Rugg late Constable of Annimessex hundred was dead. the Sd Court doe Order Addam: Heatch Constable in sd Ruggs place. and that he ye said Heatch be Sumd to appear before Some Justice of the Peace to take the Oath of a Constable. wch. Sum & Oath was Sent . ___ Samuel: ffluellin Constable of Nanticoke being this day bound to appear, and being called did not appear.
