(147) Maryland Sc. Know all men by these presents that I Capt. Henry Smith of the County of Somerset doth Constitute and appoint my loving friend Henry: Lynch of the Same County Mercht. my true & Lawfull Attorney for me & in my name and for my propper use, to aske demand & receive, all Such debt or debts that is or may Come due unto me either by Bill Bond or accounts or any other wayes And if occasion Serve to Sue arrest implead any person or persons that is or shall be due unto me as also to imprison or upon payment of either debt or debts to take out of prison ratifying & confirming what my Said Attorney shall lawfully doe. to be as effectuall as if I were personally present And if occasion be to make one or more Attorney or Attorneys as he shall think fitt. The Bains of Matrimony was then published by the Clerk of the Court between John: Judrell and Elinor: Abnanachan: it being the first time -- ~ ~ ~ ~ Richard Chambers prayes this Court that Letters of Admr may be Ordered him upon ye Estate of Wm: Jones Sonn of Charles Jones Decd. which by this Court is granted. and Ordered that Charles Hall and Thomas: Walston be appraisers appointed and that mr. Stephen: Horsey swear y sd appraisers. -- Ordered by the Court that the Overseers of Nusswaddox precincts and the Inhabitants thereof forth with repaire the Bridge on this Side Pocomoke Bridge beyond Dividing Creek: to Jno. Townsend Senr dir-- sent b- Edward: Sadbury was this day brought into Court, his mittimus was read and given to Grand Jury and sd Sadbury Ordered into the sheriffs Custody. -- which Grand Jury was that day Sumoned & returned whose names are as followeth. viz Capt. Wm: Coulbourne. Walter Read. James Rauley John: Pope. Robert Johnson. Ja: Ingram Henry. Ayres. John: Carter. George: Goddard. John: Gray Thomas: Gordon Christopher: Nutter. Edward: Bennett John: Macknutt. John: Walker. Moses: ffenton. who being duely returned & Sworne upon the holy Evangelists to try the Cause depending between their Maties & the abovesd Sodbury -- Anthony: Goldsmith & Henry Smith Planter were Sworne agt Sodbury and Sent up to Grand Jury. __________
