SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the following named institutions be and they are
hereby declared to be State-aided institutions and that from
any surplus in the General Surplus Fund Account of the
Treasury of the State on January 1, 1948, and June 30,
1948, respectively, the following sums set opposite the name
of each institution, respectively, or so much thereof in each
case as may be necessary in each fiscal year ending June
30, 1948, and June 30, 1949, be and the same are hereby
appropriated for said fiscal years, respectively.

The appropriations herein made are to be disbursed by
the Treasury Department in accordance with Section 8 of
Article 88A. of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1943
Supplement).

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That from any surplus
in the General Surplus Fund Account of the Treasury of the
State on January 1, 1948, and June 30, 1948, respectively,
the following sums set opposite the name of each institution,
respectively, or so much thereof in each case as may be
necessary in each fiscal period, be and the same are hereby
appropriated for that portion of the current fiscal year
between January 1, 1948 and June 30, 1948, and for the
fiscal year ending June 30, 1949, respectively:
