CHAPTER
90.
AN ACT authorising the Treasurer to pay to Mrs. Maria
Quinn, widow of the late John Quinn, a sum of
money therein mentioned.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted
by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer of the State, pay
on the warrant of the Comptroller, to Mrs. Maria Quinn,
widow of John Quinn, or order, the sum of fifteen
dollars for six days attendance of said John Quinn, as
messenger to the court of Appeals, at its June term,
out of any unappropriated money in the Treasury.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted,
That this act shall take
place from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER
91.
AN ACT for the relief of John Malone, of Charles
County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted
by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That it shall be the duty of the county
commissioners of Charles county, and they are hereby
authorised, if in their discretion they deem it right and
proper so to do, to audit and adjust the account and
claim of John Malone, a teacher of district school No.
2, in the second election district in said county, and to
ascertain the amount due him for services rendered as
teacher of said school for the year eighteen hundred
and fifty-two, according to the provisions of the act
passed December session eighteen hundred and thirty-eight,
chapter one hundred and ninety-one entitled, an
act to provide for the establishment of district schools in
Charles county, and the several supplements thereto.

audit and adjust
accounts.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted,
That when said account
shall be adjusted the said commissioners shall deliver
to the said John Malone, a certificate shewing the
amount ascertained to be due him, and the commissioners
for said county shall, if in their discretion, they
deem it right and proper so to do at their next meeting
thereafter for laying the county levy, levy such sum as
may be necessary to pay the same for the use of the
