they may exercise all the corporate powers and privileges
heretofore granted to them, which may be necessare
and proper for the winding up and settlement of
the affairs of the said company.
Present board
to continue to
act.
     SEC. 2.  And be it enacted, That the present board
of directors shall continue to act as such through the
period required to wind up and bring the affairs of the
company to a close, and in case of the death or
resignation hereafter of any among them, the remaining
directors shall be authorised to fill the vacancy or
vacancies so made.
     May collect
all debts due.
     SEC. 3.  And be it enacted, That after the said company
shall have wound up their affairs by the distribution
of the assets in hand or otherwise, they may still
proceed in their corporate capacity to collect all debts
due to them by suit or otherwise, and in like manner
from time to time, do all other corporate acts necessary
for the proper application and distribution of such outstanding
assets for which purposes only, the said company
shall be deemed and taken to be in full existence.
In force.
     SEC. 4.  And be it enacted, That this act shall be and
continue in force until the first day of January,
eighteen hundred and sixty, and until the end of the
next General Assembly, which shall happen thereafter,
unless sooner repealed, the power to do which is
hereby expressly reserved; Provided, that such repeal
shall not operate upon contracts and obligations then
outstanding and existing.

                                   CHAPTER 78.

AN ACT to form a new election district out of the upper
     portions of the third and fourth election districts of
     Anne Arundel county.
     Commissioners
appointed.
     SECTION 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland,
That Richard I. Duvall, Owen Disney,
William Shipley, Richard Cromwell, Jr., Philip Pettibone,
or a majority of them, be and they are hereby
appointed commissioners to form a new election district
out of the upper portions of the third and fourth
election districts of Anne Arundel county, and to ascertain
and fix the lines of said district; and the said commissioners
shall, under their hands and seals, certify
