said company, in such sum or sums as said company
may prefer, and to sell and dispose of the same upon
such terms as to said company may seem proper, and
to pledge the property and profits of said company to
secure the payment thereof; and also with power to
convert the bonds so issued into capital stock of said
company, upon such terms as may be agreed upon
between the holder or holders of said bonds, and said
president and directors.

     SEC. 18.  And be it enacted, That the charge for all
passengers travelling on the rail road hereby authorised
to be made, in cars of the same class, shall be uniform,
and any arrangement made or participated in by the
said company, by which, through means of through
tickets or otherwise, any one passengers travelling on the
said road, shall be charged a less sum than any other
passenger travelling thereon the same distance, in cars
of the same class, shall be a forfeiture of this act of incorporation,
and the same may be enforced by scire
facias, in the usual way.

     SEC. 19.  And be it enacted, That said company
shall start and run their cars for transportation of passengers
and property, at regular times, to be fixed by
public notice, and shall furnish sufficient accommodations
for the transportation of all passengers and
property as shall, within a reasonable time previous
thereto, be offered for transportation at the place of
starting, and at the usual stopping places established for
receiving and discharging way passengers and freight
for that train, and shall take, transport and discharge
such passengers and property at, from and to such
places, on the due payment of the freight or fare legally
authorised therefor, and shall be liable to the party
aggrieved in an action for damages for any neglect or
refusal in the premises.
     To run cars

     SEC. 20.  And be it enacted, That if the road authorised
by this act to be made, shall not be commenced
within two years from the passage of this act, and shall
not be completed within ten years after it shall have
been commenced, then this act shall be void, and the
powers conferred by it shall cease.
     When to be
commenced
and finished.
     SEC. 21.  And be it enacted, That nothing in this
act contained shall be so construed as to authorise said
company to issue any note, token or device to be used
as a currency.
     Banking forbid.
     SEC. 22.  And be it enacted, That the Legislature
reserves to itself the right to alter and amend this act at
pleasure.
Reservation.
     SEC. 23.  And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
