CHAPTER 361.
AN ACT making further appropriations for the present
year.
|
Sum appropriated.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted
by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the following sums of money, or
so much thereof as may be necessary, be, and the same
are hereby appropriated for the purposes herein specified,
that is to say: to John Thompson Mason and
William H. Tuck, two of the judges of the Court of
Appeals, for their salaries from the date of their qualifications
to the first day of January, eighteen hundred and
fifty-two, four hundred and sixteen dollars and sixty
cents; to the judges of the circuit courts, court of common
pleas and criminal court of Baltimore city, for
their salaries from the date of their qualifications to the
first day of January, eighteen hundred and fifty-two,
three thousand dollars; for the redemption of outstanding
coupons, certificates of interest, and funded arrears
of interest, under the provisions of chapter two hundred
and thirty-eight, of eighteen hundred and forty-six, two
thousand dollars.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted,
That the Treasurer of
the State shall, upon the warrant of the Comptroller,
disburse the said sums of money appropriated, for the
objects and purposes herein specified.

CHAPTER 362.
AN ACT requiring a re-payment of certain taxes to the
Charitable Marine Society of Baltimore.
|
Authority to
pay.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted
by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer be, and he is hereby
authorised and required to pay, on the warrant of the
Comptroller, the sum of thirty-seven dollars to the Charitable
Marine Society of Baltimore, for taxes paid by
that society, contrary to the provisions of law, during
the years eighteen hundred and fifty, eighteen hundred
and fifty-one and eighteen hundred and fifty-two.

That this act shall take
effect from its passage.
