trustees shall give notice to the legal voters of the district
of the time and place of voting, in the form and
manner as hereinbefore prescribed for the election of
trustees.
Oath of commissioner
or
trustee.
     SEC. 19.  And be it enacted, That every person
elected as a school commissioner or as a trustee, under
the provisions of this act, before entering upon the duties
of his office, shall take and subscribe before some
justice of the peace, the following oath or affirmation,
to wit:  I, A. B. do swear or affirm, as the case may be,
that I will faithfully and to the best of my judgment
and ability, without partiality or prejudice, execute the
duties appertaining to the office of school commissioner
or as trustee, as the case may be; and the said oath or
affirmation shall be administered free of charge.
Repealed.
     SEC. 20.  And be it enacted, That all acts and parts
of acts inconsistent with the provisions of this act, be,
and they are hereby repealed.

                           CHAPTER 356.

AN ACT to locate an additional School in district
     number three, being the lower district of Caroline
     county.
Trustees.
     SECTION 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland,
That Doctor A. C. Thompson, Barnett
Patton, Nathaniel Leonard, be, and they are hereby
appointed trustees to locate an additional school in district
number three, in or near a place called Poplar
Neck, in the lower district of Caroline county, in in
their judgment the interest of that portion of said district
requires it.
     Erection of
school house.
     SEC. 2.  And be it enacted, That the trustees appointed
by this act, shall have power and authority to erect
or cause to be erected, a suitable house for said school
in the most convenient place to the inhabitants in said
district, the same to be paid for out of the funds that
may be raised for the support of said school.
     Located
school.
     SEC. 3.  And be it enacted, That when the said
school shall be fully organised with twelve regular annual
subscribed scholars, then said school shall be considered
and taken as one of the located schools of said district,
