duly examined and authorised to act, for the space
of
three months during the year eighteen hundred and
fifty-two.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted,
That out of the money
so received, the said trustees are hereby authorised to
pay to John Harker, the teacher employed by them,
such sum as he would have been entitled to receive for
teaching a primary school in said school district number
fifty-six, in the year eighteen hundred and fifty-two, if
he had been previously duly examined, and had obtained
a certificate as required by law.

That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 331.
AN ACT to change the name of Catharine Clagett,
daughter of John H. Clagett, of Prince George's
county, to that of Ida Sophia Clagett.

Be it enacted by the General
Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, the
name of Catharine Clagett, daughter of John J. Clagett,
of Prince George's county, be, and the same is
hereby changed to that of Ida Sophia Clagett, and by
that name she shall be hereafter called and known, and
by that name shall sue and be sued, plead and be impleaded
in any court of law or equity of this State, and
be capable of receiving, holding and disposing of any
estate, whether real, personal or mixed.
