                           CHAPTER 297.

AN ACT to authorise the President, Managers, and
     Company of the Boonsborough Turnpike Road Company
     to occupy the hill at Colonel John Blackford's
     late residence, near the termination of the present
     road leading from Sharpsburg to the Potomac river,
     free from the condition that it shall, in no place, rise
     or fall more than will form an angle of four degrees
     with an horizontal line, imposed by the act of eighteen
     hundred and fourteen, chapter seventy-one, section
     twelve.

26, 1853.
     Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the president, managers and company of the
Boonsborough turnpike road company, be, and they
are hereby authorised and empowered to occupy and
grade the public road leading from Sharpsburg to the
Potomac river, in pursuance of the provisions of the
act of eighteen hundred and fifty-two, chapter two hundred
and sixty-six, released and discharged from the
requirements contained in the twelfth section of the
act of eighteen hundred and fourteen, chapter seventy-one,
so far as the hill at Colonel John Blackford's
late residence, near the termination of said road, forms
a part thereof.
     Authority to
grade road.


                           CHAPTER 298.

AN ACT for the benefit of Augustus R. Sollers, late
                Clerk of Calvert County Court.



     Passed May
27, 1853.
     WHEREAS, Augustus R. Sollers, late clerk of Calvert
county court failed to place his fees in the hands of
the sheriffs of the several counties of this State, and the
city of Baltimore, for collection by the time specified
by the act of January session eighteen hundred and
fifty-two, chapter one hundred and four; Therefore,
Preamble.
     SECTION 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland,
That all fees due to Augustus R. Sollers,
late clerk of Calvert county court, shall be received and
collected by the sheriffs of the several counties of this
State, and of the city of Baltimore, in the same manner
effect from and after its passage.
     Fees to be
