CHAPTER 286.
AN ACT to pay to Israel Norris, Collector of the State
Taxes for Carroll county for the year eighteen hundred
and forty-five, a sum of money as an equivalent for
the insolvencies allowed by the Commissioners of
said county, for the year aforesaid.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted
by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the treasurer is hereby authorised
and directed to pay upon the warrant of the Comptroller,
to Israel Norris, collector of State taxes for
Carroll county, for the year eighteen hundred and
forty-five, the sum of five hundred and seventy-one
dollars and fifty-eight cents, being the amount with the
accruing interest, of the insolvencies allowed by the
commissioners of said county, for said year, for which
the said Norris obtained no allowance in the trial of
the suit instituted against him in the circuit court for
Carroll county by the State.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted,
That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 287.
AN ACT making valid certain proceedings of Absalom
W. Sparks, late a Constable of Kent county, authorising
him to return certain proceedings against
Perry Frisby, and a report of the sale of real estate,
to the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent county,
and to authorise the said court to order a Deed to be
made of said real estate to A. H. Crew, and John L.
Crew, of Kent county.

WHEREAS, it is represented to
this General Assembly,
that A. H. Crew and John L. Crew, of Kent
county, on the twenty-first day of December, in the
year eighteen hundred and forty-four, purchased at
house and lot of land lying in Worton in Kent county,
called Randal's Farm, containing four acres, more or
less, for the sum of sixty dollars, at a public sale made by
