SEC. 6. And be it enacted,
That it shall be the duty
of the State Librarian to have bound, as expeditiously
as may be, the said laws, journals and documents, and
when so bound, the said Librarian, under the direction
of the Governor of the State, shall have them distributed
and forwarded for distribution to the persons
and bodies corporate entitled to receive the same, that
is to say: To the Governor of the State, one copy of
each; to the Comptroller of the Treasury, Treasurer
and Commissioner of the Land Office, each, one copy
of the laws; to the Court of Appeals, one copy of the
laws for the office of the clerk, and one copy for each
judge; to the Library of Congress, two copies of the
laws, journals and documents; to the Executive Department
of each State and Territory of the Union,
one copy of the laws, journals and documents; to the
directors of the maryland Penitentiary, one copy of the
laws; to the Mayor and City Council of the city of
Baltimore, two copies of the laws; to the Clerk of the
Superior Court of Baltimore city, the Clerk of the
Court of Common Please of Baltimore city, and the
Clerk of the Criminal Court of Baltimore city, one
copy of the laws for each judge, and one copy for the
use of their respective offices, and three copies of the
journals and documents for the inspection of the citizens;
to the Register of Wills of Baltimore city, one
copy of laws for each judge of the Orphans' Court, and
one copy for the office; to the Clerk of the Court of
Common Pleas of Baltimore city, one copy of the laws
for each of the Justices of the Peace in and for said
city; to be forwarded to the Clerks of the Circuit
Courts of the several counties, one copy of the laws for
the office, and three copies of the journals and documents
for the inspection of the citizens; one copy of
the laws for the Circuit Judge; one copy of the laws,
journals and documents for each member of the General
Assembly; one copy of the laws for the office of the
Register of Wills; one copy for the office of County
Commissioners; one copy for each Judge of the Orphans'
Court, and one copy for each of the Justices of
the Peace in and for the respective counties; the said
copies to be delivered by the Clerks of the Circuit
Courts, upon the application of the persons entitled
thereto, and the remaining copies of the laws, journals
and documents, to be retained in the State Library,
subject to the disposition of the General Assembly.
