                                   CHAPTER 29.

AN ACT to enlarge the number of Directors of the Allegany
     Mining Company, incorporated December
     session, eighteen hundred and thirty-five, chapter
     three hundred and twenty-six.
     Authority to
enlarge the
number of directors.
     SECTION 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland,
That the Allegany Mining Company,
incorporated December session, eighteen hundred and
thirty-five, chapter three hundred and twenty-six, be,
and the same is hereby authorised to enlarge the number
of directors of said company from five to seven.
In force.
     SEC. 2.  And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from and after its passage.

                                   CHAPTER 30.

AN ACT to incorporate the Town of Leitersburg in
                       Washington county, Maryland.
Incorporated.
     SECTION 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland,
That the citizens of the town of Leitersburg,
in Washington county, Maryland, with additions
hereby described, commencing at a poplar tree on the
road leading from Leitersburg to Smithsburg, near a
stable belonging to Jeremiah Slick, thence running
with a straight line to a stable near the house now occupied
by Daniel Lawmanson, thence with a straight
line to a spring on or near a lot belonging to Nathan
McDowell, on the road leading from Leitersburg to
Green Castle, thence with a straight line to a blacksmith
shop now occupied by G. W. Lantz, belonging
to George Poe, thence with a straight line to the beginning,
and that the limits and bounds as above described,
shall be and constitute the town of Leitersburg, and
the citizens of the same shall be and are made and
constituted a body corporate, by the name of the Burgess
and Commissioners of Leitersburg, and as such,
shall have succession, and by their incorporate name
may sue and be sued, plead and be impleaded in the
several courts of this State, and may have and use a
common seal, and the same may alter and change at
their pleasure.
