SEC. 2. And be it further
enacted, That the county
commissioners, of Prince George's county, shall at their
next session for levying money to defray the annual
expenses of said county, levy a sum sufficient to repair
and keep in order said road.

CHAPTER
28.
AN ACT for the relief of James A. Lyzar, of Washington
county.
|
Passed Feb.
11, 1853.
|
WHEREAS, It is represented that
a certain James A.
Lyzar has been confined in the jail of Washington
county since the fourteenth day of May, eighteen hundred
and fifty-two, for incompetency to give bail for the
support of one illegitimate child, reputed to be his, and
for no other crime, and as there is no limitation to his
period of confinement under existing laws unless by a
special act of the Legislature; Therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted
by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the sheriff of Washington county,
be, and he is hereby directed to cause the said James
A. Lyzar to be liberated from prison; Provided, however,
That if at any time within the period of seven
years, the said James A. Lyzar shall become possessed
of property or means, as the case may be, he shall be
held responsible for the amount required by law for the
support of said child, the same to be collected and paid
over for that purpose, according to the usual mode prescribed
by law for such offences.
