CHAPTER 210.
AN ACT to provide for the pay of mileage of the visiters
of the Baltimore City and County Jail, from Baltimore
County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted
by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the visiters of the city and county
jail, appointed or to be appointed by the commissioners
of Baltimore county, on the part of said county proper,
shall be entitled to mileage at the rate of five cents
per mile for going to and returning from the said jail,
for the purpose of attending the meetings of the board
of visiters thereof, for each mile he or they may travel
over and above ten miles of the distance from his or
their residence to said jail the distance to be estimated
by the usual line of travel.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted,
That the visiters of the
Baltimore city and county jail, that have been appointed
by the commissioners of Baltimore county, since
the first day of January eighteen hundred and fifty, and
have received no mileage, shall be entitled to mileage
as provided by the first section of this act.
