may be lawful for the county commissioners for Harford
county, to allow to the State's attorney for Harford
county, in addition to the sum now allowed by law,
such compensation not to exceed the sum of thirty dollars
for any one case as the said county commissioners
for Harford county, may deem just and proper, to be
levied by the county commissioners of the county from
which such removal shall have been made at their next
annual levy thereafter.
In force.
     SEC. 2.  And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

                           CHAPTER 209.

AN ACT to amend the fifth section of the act passed
     at January session eighteen hundred and fifty-two,
     chapter one hundred and eighty-nine, entitled an act
     to provide for a public Ferry at Mattaponi Landing in
     Worcester county, and to change the time for making
     the levy therein required.
Preamble.
     WHEREAS, By the fifth section of an act of the General
Assembly of Maryland, passed at January session
eighteen hundred and fifty-two, chapter one hundred
and eighty-nine, entitled an act to provide for a public
ferry at Mattaponi Landing, in Worcester county,
the county commissioners of Worcester county, were
authorised and required on the completion of the roads,
wharves and ferry mentioned in said act, to levy on
the assessable property of said county, to be paid in two
annual instalments, a sum sufficient to pay the amount
contracted to be paid for the making and completion of
the said roads, wharves and ferry; And whereas, the
same have been duly completed and received by said
county commissioners, and it is deemed expedient that
the contract price should be paid at once instead of being
paid in two annual instalments; Therefore,
     Authority to
levy.
     SECTION 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland,
That the county commissioners of Worcester
county, be, and they are hereby authorised and
required at their next annual meeting, to levy on the
assessable property of Worcester county, a sum of
money sufficient for the payment of the amount contracted
