act shall take effect, shall have already issued returnable
on the second Monday of November next, shall be,
and the same are hereby made returnable to the said
court, at its term commencing on the third Monday
of October next, and shall be and be proceeded in
to all intents and purposes as if the same had been issued
returnable on said third Monday of October next.
Acts declared
legal.
     SEC. 4.  And be it further enacted, That all acts and
proceedings of the said court heretofore, under and by
virtue of the rules of the said court establishing equity
terms commencing on the first Monday of January and
the first Monday of July annually, shall be, and the
same are hereby declared to be as legal and binding
for all purposes whatsoever, as if said terms had been
regularly established by act of the General Assembly
of Maryland.
In force.
     SEC. 5.  And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect and be in force ten days after its passage.

                           CHAPTER 199.

AN ACT to provide for the repairs of Tobacco Warehouse
     number two, and to authorise an alteration in
     Warehouse number five.
     Commissioners
appointed.
     SECTION 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland,
That William Cooke and George D.
Tewksbury, be, and they are hereby appointed commissioners
to contract for and superintend the repairs of
Tobacco Warehouse number two, in the city of Baltimore.
     Expenses not
to exceed
$3,040.
     SEC. 2.  And be it enacted, That the expenses of
such repairs shall not exceed three thousand and forty
dollars, with a reasonable allowance for repairing the
screws, of which report shall be made by the said commissioners
to the next session of the Legislature.
     Sum to be a
charge on tobacco
fund.
     SEC. 3.  And be it enacted, That the sum required
under this act shall be a charge on the tobacco fund,
and shall be paid on the requisition of the commissioners
by warrants of the Comptroller on the Treasurer.
     Authority to
make arrangement.
     SEC. 4.  And be it enacted, That the commissioners
aforesaid, shall be, and they are hereby authorised
so to arrange and adapt that part of Warehouse number
five, which can be spared as to afford accommodation
