                                   CHAPTER 22.

AN ACT to require the Treasurer of Baltimore county,
     to keep a separate account of all monies received by
     him for the use of the Public Schools of said county,
     from other county funds.
Treasurer directed
to keep
separate account.
     SECTION 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland,
That the treasurer of Baltimore county
is hereby required and directed, to keep a separate account
of all monies received from taxes levied, and
from other sources, on account of, and for the use and
support of the public schools of said county; and the
said treasurer shall also keep a correct account of all
monies paid out on account of said schools, and to
whom paid.
     Application
of money.
     SEC. 2.  And be it enacted, That no money received
from taxes levied, or other sources, for the use of the
public schools of said county, shall be used or applied
to any other purpose whatever.
In force.
     SEC. 3.  And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

                                   CHAPTER 23.

AN ACT to amend an act entitled, an act to provide for
     the establishment of an Alms House in Carroll county,
     passed January session, eighteen hundred and
     fifty-two, chapter two hundred and forty-eight.
Part of act of
1852, repealed.







Contract confirmed.
     SECTION 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland,
That so much of the act of January session,
eighteen hundred and fifty-two, chapter two hundred
and forty-eight, section one, as prohibits the county
commissioners, for Carroll county, from purchasing
more than the quantity of one hundred and fifty acres
of land, for a poor house farm for said county, be, and
the same is hereby repealed; and that any purchase or
contract for the purchase of a poor-house farm, containing
more than one hundred and fifty acres of land,
made or entered into by said county commissioners,
since the passage of said law, be, and the same is hereby
ratified and confirmed, and made as good, valid and
