                           CHAPTER 163.

AN ACT in change the time of electing Trustees of
     Primary Schools in the Upper election district of
     Caroline county.



Passed May
3, 1853.
     SECTION 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland,
That the election for trustees of the
primary schools in the upper election district (except
of school district number three,) of Caroline county,
shall take place some time during the month of October
next, and annually thereafter in said month.
Time of election.
     SEC. 2.  And be it enacted, That so much of the
act of eighteen hundred and forty-one, chapter one
hundred and eighty-seven, as relates to the time of
electing trustees, be and the same is hereby repealed.
Repealed.


                           CHAPTER 164.

AN ACT to alter and change the day of election of
     Trustees of Primary School district number three, in
     the Upper election district of Caroline county, and to
     authorise the Trustees to remove the old or build a new
     school house in said district.

3, 1853.
     SECTION 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland,
That the qualified voters residing in
school district number three, in the Upper election district
of Caroline county, are hereby authorised and
empowered to hold an election at the school house in
said district on the first Saturday in August next, and
on the same day annually thereafter, for the purpose of
electing five trustees for said school.
     Authority to
hold election.

     SEC. 2.  And be it enacted, That the trustees so
elected, or a majority of them, be and they are hereby
authorised and empowered to remove the old school
house from its present location, to some more central or
convenient place in said district, or to build and locate
a new one as aforesaid, as they in their judgment may
deem most proper.

     SEC. 3.  And be it enacted, That the trustees as
aforesaid, or a majority of them, are hereby authorised
to appropriate a sum of money not exceeding one hundred
