CHAPTER 128.
AN ACT to create a new School district in Caroline
county.
|
Additional
school district.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted
by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That there shall be an additional school
district, composed of parts of the middle and lower
election districts of Caroline county, comprised within
the following bounds; beginning at the Choptank river,
at the mouth of Robbins' creek, and to run up said
creek to the old dam, then running with a straight line
to the division line between Abraham Y. Collins and
William M. A. Liden, then running with a straight
line to Delahay Sparklin's mill dam, then running with
a road leading from said Sparklin's mill dam to the forks
of the road leading to Lockerman's mill, and to the town
of Denton, then running with the county road to the
division line between Mary Sipple and Bennett Tomlinson,
then with said Tomlinson's line to the Choptank
river, then with said river to the place of beginning;
said school district to be known by school district
number nine.

Trustees to
be appointed.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted,
That county commissioners
for Caroline county, shall appoint the usual
number of trustees for said school district, and the said
trustees shall be entitled to receive for use in the said
district, a due proportion of the school fund belonging
to the middle and lower election districts of Caroline
county.
