CHAPTER
109.
AN ACT to authorise the County Commissioners of
Prince George's county, to appoint a proper person as
Commissioner to superintend the removal of the
Primary School House, number one, in the second
election district of said county.

Authority
to
appoint commissioner.
|
SECTION 1. Be
it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the county commissioners of Prince
George's county, be and are hereby authorised and directed,
to appoint a proper person as commissioner to superintend
the removal of the primary school number one,
in the second election district of said county; Provided,
such removal is deemed necessary and proper by said
commissioner.

Authority to
levy.
|
SEC. 2. And
be it enacted, That the county commissioners
of said county, be and they are hereby required
at their first session for levying taxes after the
removal of said school house, to levy upon the assessable
property of said county, a sum sufficient to defray
the expenses of said removal.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted,
That his act shall take
effect from and after the date of its passage.

CHAPTER
110.
AN ACT to authorise the building of a New Alms-house
in Cecil county.
|
Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, It has been represented
to the General
Assembly, that the present alms-house, in Cecil county,
is in a very dilapidated and dangerous condition, and
entirely unsafe as a habitation, Therefore,

almshouse.
Power to levy.
|
SECTION. 1. Be it enacted
by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the county commissioners of Cecil
county, be and they are hereby authorised and empowered,
if in their discretion they should deem the same
necessary or expedient, to erect a new alms-house on
the site of the present one; and in order to meet all
expenses which may be incurred in the erection of said
alms-house, the county commissioners aforesaid, shall
have power to levy therefor, upon the assessable property
