and twelfth districts of Baltimore county, shall be and
is hereby enlarged to six in each district.
     Number of
constables increased.
     SEC. 2.  And be it enacted, That the number of
constables to be hereafter elected for the aforesaid districts,
shall be enlarged to four in each district.
     Where to
keep their
offices.
     SEC. 3.  And be it enacted, That at least two justices
of the peace for each of the aforesaid districts, and
a like number of constables for the same shall reside,
or keep their offices within a half mile of the boundary
of the city of Baltimore.

                                   CHAPTER 103.

AN ACT to correct an error in one of the calls of a
     patent of land granted to Peter Whaley, of Worcester
     county.
Preamble.
     WHEREAS, A patent was granted to Peter Whaley,
from the Land Office of the Eastern Shore of the
State, on the sixth day of February, eighteen hundred
and thirty-four, for eight hundred and sixty and a half
acres of land, known and called by the name of
" Friendship," but finding there is an error in calling
for the fifty-seventh course, when it should have been
the fifty-sixth course of another tract called" Purnell's
Grove;" Therefore,
     Authority to
correct error.
     SECTION 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland,
That the commissioner of the Land
office of this State is hereby authorised and required to
correct the said error by endorsing on the patent of land
called " Friendship," suitable words, so as to explain
this error, with a reference to this act.
Patent valid.
     SEC. 2.  And be it enacted, That when thus corrected
by the commissioner, said patent shall be as valid
in law as though no error had been made.
In force.
     SEC. 3.  And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from its passage.
