                                   CHAPTER 11.

AN ACT to authorise the State Librarian to supply the
     Officer of the Register of Wills, of Dorchester county,
     with certain Books.



Passed Feb.
7, 1853.
     SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland,
That the State Librarian be, and he is
hereby authorised and directed to furnish the Register
of Wills, for Dorchester county, a complete set of the
Laws of Maryland, and the Maryland Reports.
     Authority to
furnish.
     SEC. 2.  And be it enacted, That the sum of two
hundred dollars, or so much thereof as may be required
to pay for the same, be, and the same is hereby appropriated
for that purpose, and the Treasurer is hereby
authorised to pay the same, upon the warrant of the
Comptroller, out of any unappropriated money in the
Treasury.
     Sum appropriated.
     SEC. 3.  And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from its passage.

                                   CHAPTER 12.

AN ADDITIONAL supplement to an act entitled, an
     act for incorporating the Govanstown Academy, in
     Baltimore county.



Passed Feb.
21, 1853.
     WHEREAS, It has been represented to the General
Assembly of Maryland, that the trustees of
Govanstown Academy, with a view to the more
efficient accomplishment of the purposes of said
Academy, have agreed to lease the premises of said
Academy for a term of years, and that the other
party to the agreement has complied with the terms
of said lease; And whereas, it is doubtful whether
according to the former acts of the General Assembly
the said trustee are fully authorised to execute the
lease thus agreed to.
Preamble.
     SECTION 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland,
That the trustees of Govanstown Academy
are hereby authorised and empowered to carry into
effect the agreement above referred to, and make such
temporary or permanent disposition, by lease, of all
property and estate, real, personal and mixed, belonging
