Dec. Ses. 1825.

                        JOS. KENT, ESQ. GOVERNOR.

    2.  And be it enacted, That the said Ann Margaret Beatty shall
be, and the same is hereby declared capable to have, hold, take,
receive, sue for and recover by compromise suit or suits in law
or equity, property of any kind, whether real, personal or mixed,
in as full and ample a manner as if she were a feme sole; and to
hold, use and enjoy the same for her own use and benefit, and
the same to dispose of according to her will and pleasure, without
the let, hindrance, molestation, interference or consent of
her husband, in as full and ample a manner as if she were a
feme sole; and may in her own name sue and be sued at law,
and in equity in the same manner as if she were a feme sole.

    Guardianship.     3.  And be it enacted, That the said Ann Margaret Beatty be,
and she is hereby declared to be entitled to the custody and
guardianship of her children during their minority, without
the molestation, let, hindrance, interference or consent of the
said Samuel Beatty.

                                            CHAPTER 43.

An act to divorce Eve Feezer and her husband Joseph Feezer, of Frederick
                                                  county.

Divorce.     Sec. 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the said Eve Feezer be, and she is hereby divorced from
bed, board and mutual cohabitation with her husband Joseph
Feezer.
Liability annulled.     2.  And be it enacted, That the said Joseph Feezer shall not
by virtue of his marriage with the said Eve Feezer, be authorised
to have or claim any right or interest in the estate, real,
personal or mixed, of the said Eve Feezer, to be by her acquired
after the passage of this act: nor shall Eve Feezer be authorised
to have or claim any right or interest in the estate, real,
personal or mixed, of the said Joseph Feezer, to be by him acquired
after the passage of this act.
Feme sole.     3.  And be it enacted, That the said Eve Feezer, shall have
and exercise all the rights, privileges and immunities, and be
subject to all the legal responsibilities of a feme sole, in the
same manner she would have been, if she had never been married.
Guardianship     4.  And be it enacted, That the aforesaid Eve Feezer be,
and she is hereby declared to be entitled to the custody and
guardianship of her children by her present marriage during
their minority.
    Joseph not
liable.
    5.  And be it enacted, That the said Joseph Feezer shall not
be liable for any debt to be hereafter contracted by the said
Eve Feezer.
