Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the
treasurer of the western shore be, and he is hereby authorized
to pay to the executor or administrator (as the case may be)
of the said Ninian Pinkney, the sum of fifteen hundred dollars.

Washington
to New Orleans.

Resolved, That the senators and representatives
of this state
in the congress of the United States, be requested to use their
exertions to have the rout examined from Washington city
through Frederick Town and Harpers' Ferry, with the view of
ascertaining the best and most proper location for the contemplated
road from Washington city to New Orleans.

Somerset
county.

No. 51.
Resolved, That in consideration of the delay in
the publishing
and distribution of the laws, and the consequent postponement
in the apportionment of the direct tax, and the failure of
the crops from the disastrous season of the last year, the time
prescribed for paying into the treasury of the said tax for
Somerset county, be extended to the first day of September
next; any law to the contrary notwithstanding; and
that the former resolution on this subject be rescinded and
annulled.

Resolved, That the levy court of Prince George's
county, be,
and they are hereby authorised to allow to George Page, inspector
of tobacco at the Bladensburgh warehouse, whatever
compensation they may deem him entitled to, for the performance
of extra duties during the last year.

the senators
in Congress from this state be constructed, and the representatives
requested to support the application of the American
Colonization Society to Congress for aid and protection.
Resolved, That the governor be requested to transmit

of the above resolution to each of our said senators and representatives.

President of the United States be requested to cause a survey
to be made for the purpose of ascertaining the practicability of

Ohio canal with the basin of Baltimore, both by a route north
